Course Introduction:
 
Pilates has been very popular in western countries and is developing rapidly. It uses a reformer to improve body alignment and correct posture problems. Pilates is versatile for sports players and rehabilitation players. Through professional coaching, trainees have flexible skills to prescribe the program for exercise and rehabilitation. This Pilates reformer course is an effective recovery method for scoliosis, uneven pelvic, and Pre- and Post-natal cases for student reference.
 
The latter part of the course will explain in detail the skills and Pilates terminology for teaching how to use a reformer for healing chronic injuries, and boost core power.
 
Course content:
1) Pilates basic concepts, history, eight principles, terms of the Pilates reformer.
2) The relationship between muscle balance and Pilates training.
3) Pilates exercise program.
4) Practical skills with the Pilates exercise equipment.
5) Chronic pain prescription.
6) Case study on Pilates teaching.
 
Curriculum structure:
The course is divided into 18 hours of theory and practical training, with the last 2 hours being theory and practice exams. Before the examination, students will be offered a discount to rent a reformer for self-study and practice.
 
Admission requirements:
Students must hold a Pilates & Reformer basic certificate or take a practical test. Those who have a Pilates mat exercise instructor certificate are preferred.
 
Eligibility criteria: 70% attendance rate, 70% written test, 70% practice test, 70% coursework.
